(AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh) Dwane Battier, Chicago’s second-year guard, has scored 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting in the first half of the Bulls season opener.
Bulls coach John Paxson said he was not worried about the shooting performance, which was a sign of improvement.
“We know the players are capable of it,” Paxson told reporters after practice.
“We just need to continue to get better.
We can’t stop getting better.
This is what we’re striving for.”
Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said his team could do better than that, but it is not an insurmountable problem.
“Obviously we’re playing a very good basketball team,” Hoibergon said.
“But we’ve got to keep playing well.
You’ve got guys like [Kyle] Korver, Jimmy Butler that can go in and do the things they’re doing and not get caught up in it.
That’s where it’s at.
That is where we have to improve.”
