A woman who bought some first-hand clothes at a second-story store has been arrested in connection with the burglary.
The store’s owner was arrested Tuesday afternoon at her home in the 6200 block of West Broadway, about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, police said.
The woman was taken into custody and charged with burglary, a first-degree felony, police spokesman Sgt. Scott Johnson said.
Police say she admitted to having the stolen items and said she had purchased the clothes for herself.
Police said the stolen clothes were worth $1,565.
The incident began at about 3 p.m.
Tuesday when a man and woman entered the store, Johnson said in a statement.
The suspect took some items from the second- floor of the store and then fled, the statement said.
Johnson did not provide any other details.
The owner told police the suspects took all the clothes, which were inside a shopping bag.
